Basketball play-offs come to town
The 2013 Ekurhuleni Basketball League (EBL) season is at its tail end and the focus is now on revealing the top performing team in the whole of Ekurhuleni.
All conferences have determined their top team in all groups or division, and there will be some thrilling basketball action on offer at the Brakpan Indoor Centre.
This year’s play-offs promise to be very competitive and there are indicators that there will be new champions in a few of the divisions.
The defending champions in the men’s senior division are the Vosloorus Pitbulls, and they will be looking to retain their title in Brakpan.
Basketball lovers are encouraged to come and witness the spectacle.
The senior division play-offs will take place from 8am on Saturday, November 23 and Sunday, November 24.
The teams in the men’s division include Vosloorus Pitbulls, Kempton Knights, Tembisa Trinity, KwaThema Wolves and the Gladiators.
The teams in the women’s division include Kempton Park, Pelicans, Gladiators and the Bulls.
The junior division men’s play-offs will be held at the centre on Saturday, November 30, from 8am.
The teams who will be involved include the Gladiators, Thrillers, Bulls, Wolves, Watts and Tembisa Rhinos.
