Letter: Tweedy Park complex fence damaged by fallen tree

This reader is concerned about the safety of the residents, since free access to the premises is now available.

Rinda Fouché writes by email:

It is now the second time a tree has fallen and damaged part of the fence at Tweedy Park.

After the first time, which happened almost three years ago, the damaged part was never fixed or replaced.

It is dangerous, as it makes the unlawful entrance to the whole complex possible.

We would like to see it fixed this time, and all the other very tall old trees either pruned properly or taken down.

Editor’s note: Comment was requested from the City of Ekurhuleni but none was received at the time of publication.
