Police go beyond the call of duty

Christelle from Anzac writes: I recently had some trouble with my son.

He had become despondent and rebellious and also got into trouble at school.

Unfortunately, I trusted teachers and confided in the wrong people, who then used this information to further break down my child.

Five weeks ago my son behaved violently and I was forced to contact the local police station.

Capt Joep Joubert phoned me back almost immediately, and asked how he could assist.

After explaining the situation, he sent out two police officers to my house.

Sgts Fox and Nipenyane calmed my son and managed to get the situation under control.

Ever since this event these two officers have been visiting my house on a regular basis.

They really care and have shown interest in my son’s personal and mental well being.

Thank you all for your heartfelt support and genuine care.
