Xolile never has the same day at work, each day is different.

Xolile Radebe is the new marketing coordinator for Mall@Carnival. The 31-year-old lives in Midrand.

• For how long have you worked for Anaprop Property Management? Have you always worked in this line of work? Elaborate.

This is my first month with Anaprop.

I previously worked as a marketing assistant for a franchiser.

• Describe a typical day at the office. What does your job entail?

No day is the same in the office.

In my new role as marketing coordinator for Mall@Carnival, I have to ensure that I look after my brand and keep our customers happy.

• What do you like most about your job?

My job is to market the best that Mall@Carnival has to offer.

I get to work with people every day and they ensure that no day is same.

• Is there any advice you would give to a person who is starting out in your career?

Love what you do. Be curious.

Always read and research your market.

Give 110 per cent in everything that you do.

• Do you have any hobbies or special interests?

I enjoy a good book.

I can spend an hour or two just in a book store and go through all the books that they have.

Books create this world where you can dream and escape to.

I have a long list of wonderful places I’d like to travel to on my bucket list.

Explore different cultures, food and lifestyles.

• Who or what inspires you?

Oprah Winfrey.

For her passion and business savvy skills.

She understands her brand.

• Who would play you in the film of your life? Why?

• What is the most important lesson life has taught you?

• What’s your most cherished family tradition? Why is it important?

Growing up, my grandmother created this safe environment for me where I would dream and get lost in the world of TV.

We’d watch Kideo where the characters from Pumpkin Patch and Timothy Traddle were my friends, Santa Barbara, The Love Boat, Dallas (the old cast) and The Young and Restless.

That was a special time for me, as it was our time. And TV was good back then.

• If you had the power to solve one and only one problem in the world, what would it be and why?

Hmmm! If we operated with intent, I think we’d have a better way of dealing with a lot and each other.

• If you could only keep five possessions, what would they be and why?

House: That’s where I grew up and has the best family memories.

Photos: We have this old green photo album that is falling apart.

It has the best childhood memories of my entire family and the crazy fashion that we’ve gone through.

Bed: You spend half your time sleeping. So make sure it’s on a good comfortable bed.

Books: I can spend a weekend in bed with a good book. That’s my safe mode.
