• Describe a typical day at the office?

The job is not predictable and each day presents new challenges.

Driving to work I’m already fielding calls from the media concerning issues raised by communities.

When I get to the office, there is a substantial number of emails waiting from the media expressing some concerns from the public.

I am in between management meetings and meeting the demands of the media community.

I also spend the day doing interviews or sound bites for local, regional and national radio stations.

I also facilitate interviews for our senior management or MMCs on topical issues of the day.

• What do you like most about your job?

I like the fact that it is not predictable in nature. I wake up to new challenges each day.

• What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?

Because I work irregular hours, I use my rare spare time to go out to parks or shopping with my family, as well as to catch up with friends.

• Where do you see yourself in 20 years?

I am currently studying my honours degree in psychology and in 20 years I will be a fully established psychologist with a private practice.

• Name three people you would host at an exclusive dinner party and why?

Tyler Perry – he is a film maker ahead of his time. He produces life transforming movies and I’ve got mega respect for him.

Elias Ndeda – he is one of the biblically sound and articulate spiritual leaders of our times.

Thobile Gadebe – an exclusive dinner party without my wife would not be so exclusive.

• Who would play you in the film of your life?

Tyler Perry, definitely.

• What is the most important lesson life has taught you?

I have learnt that above all, soft skills such as humility, respect and a positive attitude goes a long way.
