Treat your family to the best milkshake in town

Nowadays everything is expensive and, when you want to treat your family to a nice meal at a restaurant, you know you will regret it the moment that bill arrives.

The first time I went to Sazbar I took my sister with me. We were greeted by a friendly waiter who suggested we order milkshakes while waiting for our food.

I rarely drink milkshakes, hence the fact that nobody came close to my favourite milkshake place, that’s situated in Pretoria, but Sazbar’s milkshakes had that authentic roadhouse milkshake taste that made me nostalgic.

There and then I decided that it was definitely one of the best milkshakes I had tasted in a long time.

My sister ordered a feta chicken schwarma and she is certainly the best person to evaluate this, because she orders it whenever she sees it’s available on a menu.

After one bite she said that it was one of the nicer schwarmas she’d ever tasted and added that the ingredients were fresh.

The schwarma was packed with chicken, feta, onion, tomato, cucumber, lettuce and even had a portion of chips with it. All this for under R50 is value for money.

I ordered a Sunday lunch and was surprised by the amount of food that came with it. It even included a dessert.

The lunch included vegetables, rice, baked potato and chicken (I chose chicken, but beef was also available).

The dessert was pleasant and just the right thing to round off a Sunday meal. MS
