Fallen: An exciting book filled with interesting twists

“Some angels are destined to fall” is the famous quote from the well known book by Lauren Kate.

Many people will probably be thinking this book came out a while ago. But then, I thought, that since the movie Fallen will be released this year, I might as well get people who have never read it to be enlightened by one of my favourite books.

Some of you will probably be thinking that it’s just another book about angels and demons, like most novels these days. The truth is it’s far from anything I have read. Yes, it’s a love story and has good and evil, but isn’t that what makes every book worthwhile?

Fallen begins with a teenage girl named Lucinda Price, Luce for short, who is sent to a reform school after a freak accident where a guy she was really into died. My initial response was ‘what’.

I mean how many books have you read that start like that? I can probably name none.

After arriving at this ‘reform school’, she meets two guys, Cam and Daniel. And yes, you are thinking, ’Not another one’. But it’s not like that, so just keep reading.

She soon sees what type of personalities they have. Cam, she realises, is the charming bad boy, while Daniel is the mysterious one. She somehow feels drawn to both boys, but is only lured by one of them.

She also becomes best friends with Arriane, the crazy, very influential girl in school, and Penn, the book worm.

Whoops, you thought I was going to give it away there. I’m never one to tell the best parts of a story. So the book continues with all its twists and turns.

This tales is of epic proportion and has a love story to die for. Literally I was totally jumping up and down while I was reading it. I was also commenting on absolutely everything that happened. It’s exciting and filled with twists you have never yet seen before.

Read Fallen by Lauren Kate before it’s too late.
