Brakpan police are searching for relatives or friends of a man whose body was found on Saturday.
The deceased, who has not yet been identified, was found by a passer-by in the veld near the Mgongo informal settlement along Location Road.
The body was covered with a blanket. The deceased was naked and had been assaulted.
A case of murder is under investigation.
