A 24-year-old man was fatally stabbed on Monday evening at an address along Wenden Avenue.
According to information received, Brakpan police were notified of the incident at around 21:45.
Upon arrival, the responding officer found a man on the floor in a front room.
The deceased, who was a tenant at the property, suffered stab wounds to the head.
Police were told the man had been in an altercation with another tenant, who had fled the scene.
It is believed a knife was used in the assault.
A 19-year-old man was arrested just after 08:00 the following morning in Dal Fouche, Springs, with the assistance of Secure Tech Security.
Police also seized a blood-stained T-shirt.
The suspect was due to appear in the Brakpan Magistrate’s Court today (Wednesday) on a murder charge.
