Animal welfare champion in the making
The Brakpan SPCA has no doubt he will make an incredible animal warrior.

Brakpan SPCA trainee inspector Zivai Manyika has made the society immensely proud by acing his entrance exam. Written last Friday, the exam was Zivai’s first step in the journey to becoming an inspector.
He obtained an impressive 86%.
“We always knew he had what it takes, and he has proven his dedication and passion in the best way possible,” said Brakpan SPCA manager Tamaryn Lombard.
“This achievement has brought so much joy and inspiration to our society, reminding us all of the power of hard work, determination and purpose.
“Now, we look ahead with excitement, hoping he gets the opportunity to take the next step and attend the inspectors training course.
“The real journey is just beginning, but we have no doubt that Zivai will continue to rise and thrive. And through every challenge and triumph, we will be standing right beside him.”
A post on the Brakpan SPCA’s Facebook page last week, wishing Zivai all the best for the exam, garnered 1 300 likes and over 140 comments (at the time of publication in the Brakpan Herald).
“People have gone crazy with the support. I got him to go through all the comments because I wanted him to see that he is being supported by total strangers because this role is just so important and we need special people like him to fulfil these roles and go forward in animal welfare. He really has a good future,” added Lombard.
