Top honours for Brakpan Pool Club players
Several Brakpan Pool Club members went to the nationals in the Western Cape, and some returned with trophies.
The Brakpan Pool Club had several members represent East Gauteng at the Pool South Africa National Championships from October 8 to October 12, with accolades emerging.
The championships were at the Western Cape Pool Union Ultimate Pool Centre in Cape Town, where four Brakpan members represented Eastern Gauteng in the seniors division and three in the open division.
Steve Bayman, who also plays from Brakpan, is a green-blazer referee and will represent SA as a referee in Ireland at the 2025 world championship.
Gregory Garland also shone as referee and was recognised as the Eastern Gauteng team’s best ref.
Shawn Raper won the seniors managers’ competition with nine frames out of 11 won, four out of four games, and a win rate of 82%.
