Help make J&G Soup kitchen’s Christmas party unforgettable

It will be their second annual Christmas party for less fortunate children.

J &G Auto electrical and mechanic’s soup kitchen, The Brakpan Soup Kitchen, will hold its second annual Christmas block party for less fortunate children in town on December 7, and they need the community’s help.

The soup kitchen, started by J&G, serves many beneficiaries every week with the support of several local businesses and individuals. Last year, they held their first Christmas party for about 250 children from the community.

They had food, drinks, sweets, lucky packets and gifts, and Father Christmas stopped at the party in a decorated green truck, rather than a sled.

This year, they would like to go bigger and need the following items:

• Viennas and rolls
• Sweets
• A jumping castle
• Stretch tents
• Toiletries, deodorant and body spray for the older children
• Toys and other presents for the little ones.

The party will be in the field on the corner of Kingsway and Victoria avenues. For more information or to arrange donations, contact Ordette Lottering on 061 287 5634.
