Brakpan SAPS women celebrate Heritage Day

The women gathered to mingle and enjoy refreshments.

Women from the Brakpan SAPS got together in Sunward Park to celebrate Heritage Day on September 25, wearing all white with a colourful doek.

“The women gathered with the spirit of heritage celebration and love,” said Constable Audrey Buthelezi, Brakpan SAPS corporate communications officer.

“It was regarded as successful by the SAPS Employee Health and Wellness (EHW) Department. The gathering aimed to unite co-workers, reminding them that despite their unique diversity, love and unity should always conquer.”

EHW social worker Warrant Officer Eva Mathunyane explained what heritage means, why it is relevant and why we should celebrate it. The SAPS women then enjoyed food and refreshments while mingling away from the office.
