Bikers’ generosity boosts Brakpan SPCA animal care

Motorcyclists roared into Brakpan in support of the local SPCA.

Bikers from 1313 have been praised by the Brakpan SPCA for their generosity and community spirit.

The club hosted a biker jol at Cruise Inn on Saturday in support of the animals at the society. The gathering also attracted support from members of other motorcycle clubs.

“The event was a tremendous success, raising much-needed donations of food to help care for our animals, as well as a generous financial contribution of R1 310 towards our ongoing financial obligations,” said SPCA manager Tamaryn Lombard.

“These contributions will go a long way in ensuring that we can continue to provide care, shelter, and love to the animals who need it most.”

The event was a great success with the SPCA receiving a generous amount of much-needed food, as well as a financial contribution.

The SPCA extended a heartfelt thanks to everyone involved in making the event such as success.

“Especially Gerhard Vermaak and Irisma Wentzel for taking the lead and risking it all to help our animals. Your support allows us to keep doing the important work we do for the animals in our care,” said Lombard.

Vermaak, from 1313, thanked Ghost Riders MC for joining and donating to the cause.
