Leachville man beaten by house robbers
The intruders made off with cash and valuables.
A Leachville resident was assaulted during a robbery at his home last Wednesday evening. According to police information, the man arrived at his Satara Avenue home at about 20:20.
He parked his car in the yard and was walking to the front gate to close it when he was confronted by two men.
One of the men pointed a gun at the resident and threatened to shoot him. The resident was told he would be killed if he screamed.
The duo forced the resident inside his home where they demanded money. Not satisfied with the R500 they found in the bedroom, the pair started to assault the resident.
They fled with the cash, as well as a cellphone and a laptop. A case of house robbery is under investigation by Brakpan SAPS.
