Cupcakes of Hope to return to Mall@Carnival

The team needs volunteer bakers and donations to make the day successful.

Cupcakes of Hope will be back in the Mall@Carnival on September 28 from 08:00 to 15:00 to raise funds for children with cancer on National Cupcake Day.

This year, the cupcake stall will be in front of Telkom at the Wimpy entrance to the mall.

This event has taken place nationwide since 2012 to raise funds for Cupcakes of Hope, an NPC and PBO that helps and supports families and children diagnosed with cancer.

Stakeholders contact Cupcakes of Hope with requests to help with patients. They also help with requests from the Cancer Association of South Africa (CANSA)’s Tough Living with Cancer programme, which focuses on supporting the parents and caregivers of young cancer patients.

The Cupcake Angels (volunteer bakers) make and sell cupcakes nationwide and donate the funds to Cupcakes of Hope.

Elize Pienaar, the organiser for the Mall@Carnival fundraiser, is looking for donations and volunteer bakers to make the day special. The group needs cupcake cups and registered bakers.

Those who wish to register as Cupcake Angels can go to cupcakesofhope.org. One can arrange donations with Elize on 082 328 9497.
