Phoenix Netball Club holds annual charity day at Mother’s Nest

The club aims to hold a charity day for different beneficiaries every year.

Phoenix Netball Club held their second annual charity day on Friday at Mother’s Nest Children’s Home, where they spoiled the little ones with treats and burgers.

The children could build their own burgers and also had lucky packets, cupcakes, mini doughnuts, cold drinks and crisps.

Gifts were also provided for each child in the home, and music and a jumping castle ensured a lively atmosphere and heaps of fun.

On top of the party, some of the children in the home have been offered the opportunity to join the junior teams of the netball club free of charge if they decide to do so.

Cupcakes were sponsored by Perry’s Plus, and other sponsors were Hanlie’s Vetkoek Den and Gert Wolmarans from KTR Systems.

“Thank you to the sponsors for making the day special,” said club chairperson Angelique van der Merwe.
