Soul Outreach receives huge upgrade

The centre continues to expand to support those in need in the community.

Soul Outreach Community Upliftment in Dalview continues to grow and expand thanks to donors and the community. The centre has received a large number of donations.

“I extend a huge thank you to MC Group for the food, socks, and blankets raised with the help of Juan Enslin and Tayla Kroeger,” said Martina Stickling, the centre’s director.

“I am also grateful to Daniel Porthen for the nappies and milk donation for the 10 babies at the daycare. Your kindness and compassion have not gone unnoticed,” she continued.

The centre also received clothes, stationery, an additional 16 beds for the overnight shelter from Knights Charity, upgrades to its electricity, lights, women’s dorm, an extra toilet, basin and showers and some general improvements with the help of electrician Michael Moodley.

The shelter received piles of donated blankets.

Chris Van Zweeden and Reggie Ngcobo from DRA Global donated clothing and food.

“Currently, the overnight shelter has 36 beds, with a professional counsellor on-site to assist those seeking support.

“We also plan to start regular meetings soon to keep the community updated on our activities,” Stickling explained.

“To all our sponsors, we at Soul Outreach Community Upliftment express our heartfelt thanks for everything you do to help us grow and make a difference in the community. Your continued support is invaluable, and we truly appreciate all you do,’ she said.
