Siyabonga Africa Mandela Day Market almost here

The market aims to support students and graduates of the skills development centre in kickstarting their careers.

Siyabonga Africa will hold a Mandela Day market tomorrow(July 18) at their premises at 30A Muriel Brand Street, where their students and graduates will sell goods and kickstart their careers as entrepreneurs.

The market will run from 09:00 to 14:00. There will be food, fashion and entertainment.

The skills development centre trains less fortunate residents of the area in various skills, including welding, agriculture, fashion and apparel, and cooking to help them become entrepreneurs or skilled workers to uplift themselves out of poverty.

The market allows them to promote their goods and start their businesses. It aims to collect funds and food for the centre’s feeding programme, by asking for an entrance fee of R10, or a non-perishable food item.

Those who can’t attend on the day but still want to support the centre may make online donations or send an EFT.
