Attempted murder lands man in prison for four years
The 27-year-old beat his victim with a glass bottle before stabbing her with it when it broke.
Wandile Mazibuko (27) from Old Location Road was sentenced to four years imprisonment on May 20 in the Brakpan District Court for the attempted murder.
Mazibuko was arrested on November 9, 2020, after hitting the victim over the head multiple times with a glass bottle.
He then proceeded to stab her when the bottle shattered.
Mazibuko’s first appearance in court was on February 14, where he pleaded not guilty.
He was found guilty on May 9 before being sentenced on May 20, and will serve his sentence in Boksburg Prison.
