The technical problems which resulted in the closure of the Weltevreden landfill site in December have been resolved.
The Weltevreden landfill site in Brakpan and the Rooikraal site (Dawn Park) were temporarily closed during December while the city attended to the technical problems experienced.
The spokesperson for the CoE, Zweli Dlamini, has since confirmed that the Weltevreden site is again operational.
“The site was re-opened, and operations resumed on January 3 at 13:00,” said Dlamini.
