Lazarus Legacy Foundation to host fundraising market
The foundation is looking for more vendors and performers to make the market unforgettable.
The Lazarus Legacy Foundation, a Brakpan-based NPO, will host a charity festive market on December 2 from 09:00 to 16:00 on 2 Louw Street in Dalpark Ext 9.
Entry will be free. Arts and crafts, food, and live music will be on display. The organisers are looking for more vendors and performers, specifically game stalls and singers.
The funds raised will go towards the foundation’s various projects, which include a weekly soup kitchen at Rata Social Services, grocery hampers for less fortunate families, R500 vouchers for 500 poorer families for the festive season, and bursaries for school learners and university students that help with the purchasing of materials, school fees or registration fees for university.
This year, the foundation contributed over R125 000 to these bursaries alone, and from next week, they will also cook for Child Welfare in Geluksdal and Tsakani.
