Soul Outreach and Upliftment events are coming up

The NPO shares their upcoming projects until January.

With the end of the year fast approaching, Soul Outreach would like to do things differently than last year, even if last year was a great success with everyone’s help and support.

They had great help with one of the local schools, Laerskool Die Arend, collecting teddy bears once again for their second hospital visit on November 3.

Last year’s Christmas function allowed them to cater for 60 people and give each one a gift.

This year, on December 9, they would like to take the children from their soup kitchen, and children they know would not receive anything and spoil them.

Soul Outreach will cater for 40 children, with a cost of around R150 per child. There will also be entertainment, games and a gift for each child.

People always forget about pensioners, especially those at shelters and those abandoned by their children. On December 16, Soul will cater for 30 of these pensioners.

They would love to do a sit-down meal with a dessert and want to give a small gift. They want these elderly to feel loved and cared for. The cost for the event will be around R250 per pensioner.

For their back-to-school shoe box project, they will collect and buy stationery and the necessities to start school again in January.

This project is for children in Grades One to Three.

Soul received a list of the stationery needed from Laerskool Die Arend and calculated the cost of these materials to be around R700 per child. They aim to make up 30 of these boxes for children in need.

“With everything we do and all our growth, you, the sponsor, make it possible,” said Soul Outeach CEO and founder, Martina Stickling.
