Individuals that assist the Brakpan SAPS in making the community safer were recognised by local police management on Monday.
Members of the Brakpan Crime Prevention Unit were also acknowledged.
Certificates of appreciation were awarded to these deserving civilians and police members for their dedication in combatting crime.
“We thank you for your support and assistance. There have been good arrests and firearms recovered. Crime has started to show a decrease,” said Brakpan SAPS station commander Brigadier Fredl Jonck.
“We really appreciate you. You go out of your way to help, you put your lives on the line.”
Members of the Brakpan Crime Prevention Unit also received certificates of appreciation from the Trio Task Team.
