Brakpan SPCA offers reduced price on sterilisations

Bookings are essential.

Between August 26 and September 2, bookings will open for low income pet owners to have their pets sterilised at a discounted rate through the Brakpan SPCA.

Included in the price of R550 per pet is a microchip. There are about 100 spots for the month of September available.

To obtain a booking, visit the Brakpan SPCA during office hours during the stipulated dates with your ID, proof of residence and proof of income (bank statement, SASSA card) and fill out the required paperwork.

Bring R550 with you to secure your booking. Once paid, you will receive a booking date and a receipt.

No bookings will be made via phone, WhatsApp or email. The sterilisations will occur during September on Tuesdays and Wednesdays only.

Animals will need to spend the evening prior to the day of their sterilisation at the SPCA.

Due to high demand, pet owners are advised to adhere to booking dates. Those who do not fulfil their booking will lose the booking entirely. All monies are non-refundable.

It is also recommended that pets be fully vaccinated. The discounted sterilisations are only available to pets six months or older.

Businesses or residents who would like to support the SPCA’s Five Freedoms Project to secure bookings for animals, may email manager@brakpanspca.co.za to arrange.

Earlier this week, the SPCA received over 25 sponsored sterilisations. The Brakpan SPCA is located at 96 Denne Road in Witpoort.
