As reported in last week's Brakpan Herald, long-time Brenthurst resident Ruth Place celebrated her 100th birthday on Friday. Ruth enjoyed a weekend of festivities with family, friends and neighbours. She was also the recipient of a birthday card from the British Royal Family, which features a portrait of King Charles and Queen Camilla and included a congratulatory message from their Majesties.
