Carnival City spreads joy to children

Staff from Carnival City visited Kids Haven to mark Mandela Month.

Carnival City’s community social investment team visited Kids Haven home in Benoni to mark Mandela Month and spread joy with games, clothing and party packs for the children aged three to 21.

“Our team spent the afternoon playing with the kids and handing over food hampers and party packs,” said Carnival City SED and CSI officer Mduduzi Madonsela.

“Thank you to the awesome Carnival City team for spending time with the children as part of our Mandela Day initiative,” said Khethiwe Zwane, Kids Haven fundraiser.

“The little ones enjoyed the surprise party packs with chips, chocolate, a boerewors roll, fruit and a juice, so much.”

The home has three pillars of care to deliver services to promote safety and care of children, including empowering the community to protect and care for children and in-care protection for children in crisis.

They also aim to build skills in young people leading to them being self-sufficient and able to seek work opportunities.
