Youth-owned enterprises invited: stand a chance to win a trip to India

The City of Ekurhuleni is looking for young entrepreneurs in specific categories to pitch their business proposals.

The City of Ekurhuleni (CoE) in partnership with Ulwazi Resource Consulting is calling local youth-owned enterprises to register to pitch their businesses at the ongoing Festival of Ideas Pitching Competition taking place between June 13 and 23.

The winner will attend the G20 Young Entrepreneurs Alliance Summit to be hosted in New Delhi, India, before the G20 Summit.

The Festival of Ideas is an annual pitching competition aimed at young people with innovative business ideas to seasoned industry leaders. There will be five pitching sessions designated for the five different business sectors.

The Festival of Ideas is only open to businesses in the following sectors:
• Technology in manufacturing
• Lifestyle for sustainability
• Inclusion and equal opportunities
• Agricultural technology
• Digital economy.

Entrepreneurs whose businesses are within any of the above-mentioned criteria are invited to submit online application forms to https://bit.ly/EkurhuleniIdeasFestival2023.

Successful candidates who qualify for the Festival of Ideas will be invited to pitch their entrepreneurial brilliance to a panel of judges comprising representatives from the Gauteng Enterprise Propeller (GEP), The National Youth Development Agency (NYDA), CoE Economic Development and the Gauteng Gambling Board.

Applicants who do not receive any feedback within five days of making their submissions should consider their application unsuccessful.
