Join forces to end illegal dumping

Residents urged to report incidents of illegal dumping.

Residents of Dalpark are encouraged to report any incidents of illegal dumping as well as refrain from illegal dumping.

According to Ward 31 Clr Simangele Sabe, the community of Dalpark has experienced increased levels of illegal dumping which is not only in contravention of environmental by-laws, but creates an unsanitary environment which poses serious health risks.

“The DA calls on residents to refrain from illegal dumping and we encourage residents to do their part and report incidents of illegal dumping,” said Sabe.

“The community is encouraged to utilise the Brakpan mini-dumpsite and Van Dyk Park mini-dumpsite to dispose of their waste.

“Illegal dumping is not only detrimental to residents but also poses major health and safety issues due to the vermin it attracts.

“Residents must join forces to put an end to illegal dumping for the betterment of our communities.”
