Learners taught about fire safety

Local police and other role players visited Laerskool Kommando last week.

Various stakeholders descended upon Laerskool Kommando last Friday to raise fire safety awareness among learners and educators.

Information was also shared about burn wounds and injuries, and what to do in case of a fire.

The event was organised by the Gauteng Health Department but representatives from the Brakpan SAPS, EMPD, emergency services, social workers, the National Prosecuting Authority, the City of Ekurhuleni, clinical forensic medical services, the Far East Rand Hospital and the education department were also in attendance.

Information was also shared about bullying, road safety, arson and gender-based violence.
