Businesswomen host networking events

Women's Business Club (WBC) invite businesswomen to join their free networking sessions.

Michelle Austin and Angie Wells of the Women’s Business Club (WBC) invite businesswomen to join their free networking sessions in Benoni.

Austin, who heads up the Johannesburg chapter of WBC, explained it is a global organisation that aims to support and empower women in business by providing them with resources, networking opportunities and business advice.

“WBC has helped thousands of women in business by offering various programmes and services, including networking events, both online and in-person, workshops, mentoring, online resources and advocacy.

“While WBC is primarily an online community, it also has physical chapters worldwide, including the United Kingdom, South Africa, Sydney, France, Australia and the United States.

Angie Wells.

“These chapters offer in-person networking events and workshops and provide an opportunity for women in business to connect and collaborate with other local businesswomen.”

The WBC’s Johannesburg chapter is based in Benoni and has monthly meetings at Smith’s Café in Northmead.

Participants are expected to be open-minded, respectful and supportive of other members and willing to contribute to the growth and success of the community.

The club welcomes women at all stages of their entrepreneurial journey, from those just starting to experienced business owners, and encourages participants to learn from each other and support each other in achieving their goals.
