It seems the problems that beset the Brakpan parkrun are a thing of the past.
Event director Jillian Sotto Corona said the event would return on Saturday mornings because problems with the course, caused by the heavy rains, were resolved.
“After a short period of struggling to host the Brakpan parkrun, we are fortunate to announce that we are still on the map and back up to functioning standards,” she said.
Adjustments made to the trail now ensure it is safe.
“The route was corrected, making it far safer. It is now a double lapper of 2.5km equalling the 5km expected distance. It is no longer many repetitive laps,” she explained.
“Please, come and participate in the parkrun hosted every Saturday at 08:00 for free.”
