Brakpan gets fit for 2023 season

Local club sets their sights on the finals.

The CCC Brakpan Rugby Club will look to go one step further than they did last year when they qualified for the semi-finals of the Valke League.

They are pushing hard because they are now looking at pre-season matches.

With the league matches kicking off on March 25 against North-West University (NWU), they will want to ensure they are ready for the challenge.

This weekend, Brakpan faces Naka Bulle in an away game that should give them a decent workout ahead of the season that starts in two weeks.

Next week will see the club from Bosman Stadium travel to Pretoria for the last pre-season match before they get down to the business of competitive rugby.

They will host NWU in the season opener before making the short trip to Boksburg the next weekend.

The standout fixture for many fans will be their away match against Springs on May 6.

Brakpan is a club with a proud history, and they want to be in the league final on August 12.
