Mrs South Africa is for #EveryWoman

All married women are encouraged to enter.

The time is now for all married women in South Africa seeking an exciting life-transformation journey, as entries for Mrs South Africa 2023 have officially opened.

Much more than a beauty pageant, Mrs South Africa is for #EveryWoman. It provides women with the chance to take part in its acclaimed female empowerment programme.

In addition to extensive networking opportunities, fun-filled events and philanthropy work, this programme provides women with extensive training and upskilling workshops, helping them to re-discover themselves, follow their dreams and become powerful voices for change.

CEO Joani Johnson emphasises that Mrs South Africa celebrates diversity and inclusivity, uplifting and showcasing authentic women from all walks of life.

“Many previous contestants have called this the MBA of life, giving women the chance of a lifetime to participate in a journey of bravery, sisterhood, networking, charity and growth.

“As per our theme of the year, #EveryWoman, we welcome all entrants – no matter your height or weight, educational background or whether you have modelling experience. All you need is the courage, drive and ambition to become the best version of yourself.”

Current Mrs South Africa Queen, Palesa Matjekane, notes that Mrs South Africa gave her the platform she needed to reignite her passion and dreams.

“I have participated in Mrs South Africa twice, first in 2020 and then again in 2022, as I realised that I had more to learn and grow. I hope that every married woman will consider taking this life-changing step as I did, as it truly gives you the support and encouragement to help you step out of your comfort zone and pursue your goals with new vigour.”

To enter Mrs South Africa 2023, entrants must be:
• Between 25 and 55 years in 2023
• Have a valid South African ID, passport and driver’s licence
• Be legally married with a marriage certificate from the South African Department of Home Affairs
