The Brakpan SPCA is doing pet microchipping at a special festive season rate from December 19 to 30.
The cost of microchipping during this time is R100.
Microchipping is one of the easiest ways to help reunite lost pets with their owners.
A tiny electronic chip is inserted into the back of the neck of animals through an injection, after which it can then be read by a microchip scanner.
It is painless and quick. The chip is registered with the details of the pet’s owner.
