Dancers set the stage ablaze
Great results for students from Brakpan-based dance studio who showed off their best moves at recent dance eisteddfod.
Students from Phoenix Dance Studio in Brakpan took part in the Elite Dance Eisteddfod in Benoni during the October school holidays where they competed against other East Rand dance studios.
According to studio owner Lisa Boucher, the students performed well in the class dance sections, earning 19 gold, 23 silver and nine bronze medals.
They were the overall winners in 17 sections and dancers also won awards for solo, duet and trio sections.
“They have worked so hard and achieved great results,” said Boucher.
