Weltevreden Landfill Site temporarily closed
Municipality stated further developments will be shared in due course.
The City of Ekurhuleni wishes to notify members of the public utilising the Weltevreden Landfill Site in Brakpan of an urgent temporary closure as of July 1.
The landfill site will be temporarily closed until further notice due to unforeseen circumstances.
All site users are advised to use Rietfontein in Springs, Simmer and Jack in Germiston, as well as the Platkop Landfill Site at the corner of the N3 highway and R550 near Heidelberg.
The municipality will keep the public informed of further development in due course. The City apologises for the inconvenience this may cause.
