A Dalpark Extension Six man and his son fell prey to house robbers during the early morning hours of June 15.
Three intruders gained access to the Tafelboom Street home at around 03:00 by forcing open the back door.
The 37-year-old man and his son (13) were awakened by the men in the house.
Two of the robbers were armed with rifles while the other was brandishing a pistol. They tied up the father and took a sound system, a TV, clothing and cellphones.
“No shots were fired and no injuries were reported,” said Captain Pearl van Staad, spokesperson for Brakpan SAPS.
“It is unknown if the robbers used a vehicle to make their getaway.”
