Snake Road now open to the public

One of the main thoroughfares to Benoni can be accessed by motorists again.

Snake Road in Benoni, which was closed since November from Pioneer Drive to Golden Drive due to a sinkhole, is now open.

The sinkhole developed after work on a Rand Water pipeline.

The road was opened on May 16, which has come as relief to motorists who had to endure slow traffic flow during the closure.
