Auction raises funds for Macayla

While the fund-raiser planned for four-year-old Macayla Coetzee in December had to be postponed due to the fourth wave of Covid-19 and the excessive rainy weather, her supporters have found other ways to help her and her family.
An online WhatsApp auction raised R8 350 for the Brakpan girl who was diagnosed with acute lymphoma leukemia in December 2020.
The auction was a success thanks to local shop Krap n Kry and its auction clients. The funds were handed over to Macayla’s mum, Tarryn Hurter, just before Christmas.
A new date for the fund-raiser has not been confirmed or set as yet.
