One of the robbers pointed a gun at her head and threatened to shoot her if she screamed.

Household goods valued at around R100 000 were stolen during a house robbery in Sunair Park on Wednesday.

According to information received from Brakpan police, a woman alone at the Lower Road property was confronted by two gunmen in her home at 12:15.

She had earlier heard the front gate opening but thought it was family members arriving home. One of the robbers pointed a gun at her head and threatened to shoot her if she screamed.

The victim was instructed to sit quietly while the robbers searched the house. They took a TV, a laptop, a cellphone, sound equipment, a soldering iron, a cordless drill and water taps.

The pair was in the house for approximately 15 minutes and fled in an unidentified vehicle.

It was later discovered they had lifted the front gate off its rails to gain access to the property and then forced a door open to get inside the house. A case of house robbery is under investigation.
