Brakpan police were summoned to Vulcania on Saturday after reports of a shooting.
Upon arrival at business premises along Milne Street just after 09:30, officers were shown the body of a man who had been shot several times.
The victim sustained gunshot wounds to the chest, back and one of his arms.
Five cartridges were found on scene.
It was not immediately clear whether the deceased was an employee at the company.
A murder case has been opened.
