Jawitz Brakpan held a soup kitchen for those in need on Mandela Day at their offices in Kenleaf.
Staff also served meals at locations along Station Road in the Brakpan CBD, Brenthurst at the Ebenhaeser Old Age Home and Mother’s Nest.
Masks and sanitiser, which were sponsored by Printex, were also distributed on the day.
Other sponsors included VC SUPERSPAR, the Jawitz team and Joan Theunissen from Joan Theunissen Optometrists.
“We all have the ability and the responsibility to make the world a better place for everyone in it,” said Natashia Barnard, Jawitz Brakpan branch manager.
