Hijackers pounce twice in 24 hours

 Both cases are under investigation by Brakpan SAPS.

The past weekend saw two hijackings in Brakpan.

The female driver of a Nissan was hijacked at the corner of Etosha and Augrabies avenues in Dalpark at around 9pm on Friday.

The victim told Brakpan police she saw two men standing in the road, who shouted at her to stop and get out of the car.

When she stopped and climbed out, the men got into her car and drove off.

On Saturday evening, the driver of a white Hyundai was robbed of his car along Kaapmuiden Avenue in Leachville.

The victim was attacked by a man after stopping to buy cigarettes at about 7.20pm.

As he got out of his car, the man approached him from behind and searched him.

The victim was robbed of his car keys and assaulted. The man and an accomplice then drove off in the Hyundai.

Both cases are under investigation by Brakpan SAPS.
