According to information received, the following crimes were reported to Brakpan police over the weekend:
• Friday – A business in Witpoortjie Road, Rand Collieries, was burgled of a sound system and cash.
* A computer, a cellphone and a TV remote were stolen during a break-in at a home along Bohemia Avenue in Leachville.
• Saturday – A spare wheel was stolen from a bakkie parked at Mall@Carnival.
The culprits, two men, were spotted by car guards and fled in a white Hyundai panel van.
• Sunday – A home in Ian Coetzee Street, Withok Estates, was burgled of a TV, a laptop, a tablet and four cellphones.
* A motorcyclist was robbed of cash along Hospital Road in Brakpan North at about 3pm.
The occupants of a white Toyota (model unknown) motioned to the rider to stop, which he did.
Two men, one of whom was armed with a knife, alighted the vehicle and approached the victim.
He was searched and robbed of R600.
* A laptop and a cellphone were stolen from a vehicle parked at the corner of Kingsway Avenue and Cavendish Street.
