Take pride in our town

Is there no longer pride, cleanliness and safety in the council?

Resident writes by email:
We have come out of lockdown and have tried to keep our properties clean, as well as the sidewalks and pavements.
What has the council been doing to make our town clean and free of weeds, long grass and preserving the outlook of a town that was once voted the cleanest in Ekurhuleni?
Is there no longer pride, cleanliness and safety in the council?
The property of the council is where the grass is so long, the parks are untidy, the weeds and grass on the sidewalks are so long and people are sleeping in the long grass and under the overgrown trees on the pavements.
Are we safe, do they care or are we becoming complacent just like those who don’t wear masks and believe it can’t happen to them?
No one is invincible and the virus knows no age, no colour and no race.
Do your bit and we will continue to do our bit, as always.
