Metro warns of job scam

The City urges individuals to be very vigilant and to verify information.

The City of Ekurhuleni warns the public to be aware of a job advertisement scam that is circulating online, purporting to be from the city.

The job advertisement lists many jobs, ranging from security officers, general workers to technicians.

The vacancies lure the unsuspecting public to contact certain Mr Makua for application details.

The City warns all job seekers who would like to apply for the city’s job vacancies that vacancies are advertised on the city’s website (www.ekurhuleni.gov.za) and the applications are also done online through the same website.

Job seekers are advised that no form of payment is done for the recruitment process.

The city urges individuals to be very vigilant and to verify information on the website: ww.ekurhuleni.gov.za.
