Don’t miss out on the next entrepreneurs’ workshop

This week's topic of discussion will be “Your Network Is Your Networth”.

This has been a time of fearfulness for many.

Speakers at last week’s Hirsch’s Entrepreneurs Workshop anchored by Hirsch’s executive director Margaret Hirsch and top business coach Marlene Powell, from Action Coach, acknowledged this and pointed out that entrepreneurs need to get out of their comfort zones and adapt to change to avoid being the victims of fear – and to live a life of abundance.

Guest speakers were wealth chef Ann Wilson and innovation trainer Wendy Mahoney.

Ann believes abundance is an activity and a choice.

She stated money is an ingredient – an input.

“We have to know ourselves and find joy in who we are before we get into the money side of things,” she said.

“Abundance is an activity and a choice we can make.”

Ann also encouraged the audience to find a way to slow down their lives.

“You need to take time to chew the cud to seek joy and abundance. Find joy in the minutiae of life and approach every day with wonder,” she said.

According to Wendy with the world changing at a rapid pace, innovation has been accelerated.

“The biggest blocks right now are judgement and fear of innovation,” she said.

“Fear blocks everything. We need to be adaptable, recognise our fear, navigate it and avoid getting sucked into it.”

Marlene explained the importance of being comfortable with being uncomfortable and for people to surround themselves with those bring out the best in them.

“If you want to be happy in your business, fall in love with it,” she said.

“Make it your happy place, but know when to step back and work on your business and not in it.”

Margaret concluded the workshop by reiterating that to fail is not a crime.

“In fact, it will make you grow. Think of it as a first attempt in learning,” she said.

“Also never mind what other people think of you. You are enough.”

Entrepreneurs from around the country log into these free virtual workshops every Friday between 11am and noon to get useful tips and groundbreaking advice from Margaret, Marlene and a chosen team of experts who speak on a variety of subjects.

This Friday (August 14), the topic of discussion will be “Your Network Is Your Networth,” and speakers include Paul Smith, founder of the Civitas Network, and author and financial planner Sylvia Walker.
