Blue light hijackers at it again

The latest incident took place along Elsburg Road (R554), near Carnival City, on Monday morning.

Blue light hijackers have struck again in the Brakpan area.

Heidelberg Road (R23) and the surrounding area is often plagued by bogus cops who rob motorists of their vehicles.

According to information received from Brakpan police, the 40-year-old driver of a white Toyota Hilux was travelling past the casino around 11.15am when he was boxed in by two Volkswagen Golf 7s.

Both vehicles were fitted with blue lights.

A Toyota Camry with four occupants was also involved in the incident.

Once the bakkie driver had stopped, he was approached by the men from the Camry.

They covered his face and bound his hands with rope.

He was forced into the boot of the Camry and it was driven off.

After travelling for some time, the car stopped and the victim was untied and let go.

He caught a taxi to the Orlando Police Station and reported the incident.
