Easy protein packed peanut butter bread

Hirsch’s KZN PRO, Lindsay Kleynhans has been busy during lockdown re-creating some delicious recipes
Here is one of them.
“This recipe brings great joy to me as it was one of the first things I baked with my Mom growing up.
“It is so easy to make and the peanut butter adds a great protein kick,” said Lindsay.
Ingredients:
500g Cake flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
½ cup of brown sugar
½ teaspoon of salt
¾ cup peanut butter
1 egg beaten
187ml-250ml milk , depending how dry the mixture is
Method:
Preheat oven to 180*C
• Sift together the dry ingredients into a bowl
• Beat the egg
• Slowly incorporate egg , peanut butter and milk into the mixture and mix well
• Place the mixture into a greased loaf pan and bake for 50-60 minutes
• Serve warm with butter and a bit of honey and enjoy.
